Marvellous Moustiers Sainte Marie and Gorgeous Gorge de Verdon

My favourite waste of time
So we stopped in this aire below a village on a cliff and across the gorge was a chain with a gold star in the middle.  I spent ages explaining how it got there.  We climbed to the top of the gorge.

View from the top
And there was a really beutiful chapel there with my mate in it.  Mama said it nearly made her believe in God.
Upto the chapel
The next day Mama found a hike for us to go on and we walked and walked and walked.  I skipped a lot of the way.

The walk
We could see a huge lake in the distance and there was a big rustling in the bushes which Mama said was wild boar and daddy said deer and I said bear.
Don't jump
We got to the very top and I ate pistachio nuts.

The top
Mama said she would take us for a fancy meal when we got back so we went in this restaurant overlooking the gorge which was all tinkly glasses and white cloths. Daddy could see a snake in the water below.  When the waiter came over to ask what we wanted to drink Mama said un kir and daddy said une biere and I said an agua con gaz and then I did a little buff.  Mama and I ignored it but when the waiter left I said he could bring the agua and I would add the gaz.  And then we all rolled about laughing for about an hour.
Pudding
The food was very nice.  I am a big fan of tapenade.  The black one.   The town is great.  There are loads of fountains for me to play in.  Mama and Daddy love it here too.
The town
We spent a few days here and then left to drive round the gorge.  Gosh it was cold.  It was high too. Mama says it is Europe's largest canyon.
The gorge
I noticed that Mama didn't go too close.
A long way down
The water was this amazing green colour and we saw an eagle.
More view
Daddy parked the van up and we walked part way down but didn't get to the bottom.
Our lunch view
Daddy said it was some of the best scenery he has seen which is big stuff coming from Daddy.

Beautiful Banyoles. Penis

Picture of the lake
We drive up to this really pretty natural lake in Banyoles.  We find a terrific free camping spot over looking the lake with toilets and water and bins and more importantly shade.
Picture of the lake
A big storm starts coming in and Mama goes crazy talking about the light and taking pictures of the lake.  She rings uncle Lollo because she says he would take the best pictures here.
Picture
She also rings Nanny and Nanny says oh no a storm.  Be careful.  So Mama says of what?  Of the golf club she is encouraging me to wave about.  Nana doesn't think it is very funny.
Another one
Anyway, Mama has taught the names of all the parts of the body.  The other day I saw a little boy naked at the swimming pool so I pointed to his penis and shouted penis.  Everyone looked really shocked.  So I have taken to shouting it out everytime I see one.  Sometimes I shout it even when I don't just to see what Daddy does.
Guess what?
Daddy said Mama should have taught me a private word for it.  Mama said don't be so ridiculous.  What's wrong with penis.
C'mon Mama that's enough
Daddy says we use the word bottom and not anus.  Mama said he was starting to talk out of it.  I think she got mixed up.
I'm fed up now
Anyway, she eventually stopped taking photos and getting grumpy with Dadday and we found a playground.  I just climbed up the slide and it started to rain really heavily so we had to run back to the van and shelter whilst Mama whooped at the lightening.
Haha A playground

Marvellous Mijas

El Burro
We got on a bus from Furngirola to Mijas.  I like buses and so does Granddad.  It didn't take long and we got to Mijas.  There were lots of donkeys there.  They all looked very sad.  Except this one.  We had to push a load of Spanish Grannies out of the way to get on.  They were all fighting to ride it and shouting Arre Arre El Burro.

Looking at the view
It was quite chilly windy so Mama didn't get much of a view of the coast.  It was a very nice town,  With lots of steps which I can jump off.  I specialise in jumping now.  It is my thing.  Mama says I am half man half frog.  Like Mowgli.  Daddy says Mama wanted to name me Mowgli.  Thank goodness Daddy had some sense.
Jumping Steps
We went for a 7 Euro Menu del Dia which Mama managed to get up to 15 Euros each by the time she had finished ordering coffees with brandies.  She does get carried away.  I had lots of nice fish and a big plate of chips
The nearly last supper
Mama kept going onb about the colours.  There were lots of pots of gereniums in reds and blues.
The colours
And lots of tiled fountains and a playground.
The square
 And a really big tower.
The Tower
And a fountain which I could press with my foot and make water come out and which I couldn't leave alone.
My favourite bit
I had a really lovely day.  We got to ride back down on the bus and Granddad did the biggest sneeze I have ever heard which made Mama laugh so much that the whole bus laughed all the way down the hill.

Free Camping

Life in a van
Drive along the fabulous coast road to Mojacar.  Daddy is happy as there are plenty of MOTORCYCLES on the roads.  Mama finds us a spot to hole up for the night but daddy isn't happy with it.  We move sites and Daddy is still not happy because the van is on a slope and Daddy can't bear a slope as he won't be able to sleep.  Mama says she doesn't care as she never sleeps anywhere.  They do go on those two.  It is very windy here so Mama gets out a kite that Nana bought for me and then plays with it all afternoon whilst I build sand castles.
Oh they do go on
We wake up to a fantastic sea view and a horse in a playground.  We set off to Roquetas and a great campsite in a very strange place.  It seems to be on waste ground in the middle of no where.  There is a tremendous bar there which for 2 Euros gives you a beer and minature fish and chips.  I thought Mama was going to move in just for the food.
Free Camping
In the morning it smells like we are on holiday.  It is very misty moisty and we drive to the best campsite yet - Don Cactus in Carchuna  Oh I did like it here.  They had chickens and quail and fountains and terrapins and a tree house.
Oh to live in a house
They also had a swimming pool with a strange creature coming out of the water.  It wasn't very warm but I insisted on going swimming.
Look behind you
They had a great restaurant there with lentil stew and baked hake.  I ate it all up.  I wanted to stay longer but Mama says it's too cold and also the town was a bit strange.  Mama said it felt like there wasn't too much work around.  We passed the biggest pile of rotten cucumbers I have ever seen.
Lentil Stew
And so we have to leave again.  We need to get to Benalmadena to see my Aunty Jayne and Aunty Ping and Mama doesn't know where we are going to stay.

Moving On

Brrrrrr
The weather has been really cold here the last few days.  My lovely aunties arrived from France and took the sunshine away with them to Seville.  Mama wants to hit the road again.  I am sad to be leaving.  I liked it here.  Mama says we need to find a campsite with a heated swimming pool as I love swimming and she is fed up with cycling to the one here which is miles away.
Anyway last week we went to Alfaz del Pi and there was a fiesta going on.  Mama said it might have been a Saint Valentine's celebration.  I got so excited with the marching children that I ran right along and joined in.  Mama said she had never seen so many Kinder Egg and Nutella costumes.  And me of course.  I marched to the front.
Me and my carnival
The other evening, we were coming back from the playground in the dark when the man from the ironmongers ran out.  He said he had been watching for us all day.  He said in his country Valentine's day is about love between friends and that he loves me and he gave me a bag with a present in it.  Mama asked where he was from and he said Columbia and showed us photos of his son who he said looked just like me when he was little.  Mama embarrassed me by starting to cry.  I made her go.
Anyway, in the bag was a hat and a pair of gloves.  I think this is because Mama makes me wear socks on my hands and the man must have felt sorry for me.

Me and my Hat
We are going to be heading South next week.  We are going down the coast through Mazzarron and onto Malaga to see my Aunty Jayne and Aunty Ping.  We might then go to Estapona to see my Aunty Zoe and then try and find somewhere to stay for another 6 weeks so that my Uncle Lollo and Granddad Geoffers can come and visit.  I keep singing my Uncle Lollo is coming soon to my Fire truck song.

A day out in Guadalest

Lurking in Guadalest

I was so happy to see Nanny and Ganggang.  And they were happy to see me.  We went to visit a village in the mountains called Guadalest and I liked it there.
A picture taken by Nana where she got all 3 of us in.  Just
I did a bit of rock climbing and hung about a church quite a bit until Mama said she was bored and made me move.

The Church

The Church.  The Light

Nana found a house with a donkey and a pig and a goat in it.
The goat

And I fell and bumped my knee on the cobbles.

My sorely knee
Mama went on a bit about the light and then we drove home.

Calpe and Benidorm

Calpe
The silver tops are here.  Mama said that Nanny was worried I wouldn't want to see her.  What rubbish!  When she came out of the airport, I charged her and grabbed her knees.  She dropped her case.  So I carried it for her.
Big Mountain
We went to Calpe because Mama wanted to eat fish.  She ate fish whilst I slept.  They kept me some bits of squid for when I woke up.  I like squid.
Resting
And then we slept in the sand.
A lady on the campsite knitted me a jumper.  Her husband and his friend have one too.  They all came to have their photo taken with me.
Me and my jumper
Mama took us all to Benidorm.  Nana didn't want to go.  When we got there, we couldn't get her away.  Mama says this happens quite often.  She tried to persuade Nana to visit Iceland but Nanny wouldn't go.
On the beach again
I played on the beach with Daddy. It was a beautiful day.  Nanny and Ganggang found a really nice restaurant.  So nice, I did a wee on the floor but they didn't mind.  They gave me a small bucket of sweets.
Las Vegas
They gave the Nofuns a bottle of strange yellow liquid which made them go all silly.  So silly infact that Mama started dancing the cha cha down the street with me on her head.  Nanny bought a a pair of gold and white golf shoes.  Mama says she doesn't even play golf.  Then Nanny bought me a police bike with a really loud siren which she took off me later.
Before lunch
We all had a game of football in the street and loads of people joined in.  I met a lady with a pet pigeon.
After lunch
It was very dark when we got home.  Mama couldn't tear Nanny and Ganggang away from the nightlife.  They wanted to join in.
